Shays Flat Grenache
The fruit is from the Shay’s Flat vineyard (certified organic) nestled within the Landsborough Valley. This wine saw 50% whole bunch within the 10 day ferment. Basket pressed and allowed to rest in seasoned oak for 12 months, before being transferred to stainless steel for a further 3 months. This extra time really allows the wine to come together and express its full potential before its capture in bottle. As with all of my wines, this was bottled with minimal sulphur additions, no fining and no filtering.
This is a beautifully elegant wine. So perfumed and plush. I recommend popping it into a decanter, sit back, and enjoy the ride.
