Cheverny Rouge 2021

Thierry Puzelat is making some of the Loire’s best and certainly most interesting wines, which he has done for many years. This Pinot Noir and Gamay blend comes from organically grown fruit from a 2ha site known for its clay, flint and chalk.

A very floral nose with bright red fruit aromas. Strawberry, plum skin, earth and spice on the palate. The finish is long and fruity with light, balancing tannin. Irresistible as always on release, this should be very interesting after a couple of years in the cellar.
