The new, new drink of summer – Piquette is a wine-adjacent drink that is big on refreshment and low on fuss. Made by re-hydrating pressed grape skins in water and fermenting the remaining sugar, our piquettes are made to be a bright, clean and low ABV alternative, perfect for those warm summer afternoons.
Hazy dark pink in the bottle, this piquette is made from Negroamaro skins – the same fruit we used to make the “Amaya” Pet Nat. We blended a small amount of fresh Negroamaro juice into the piquette base prior to bottling, which fermented away in bottle to make a sparkling piquette a la pet nat. A wild ride of a drink – the funky, yeasty presence is blown away by an incredibly pure candied berry character and super crunchy acidity. Wild fermented with no added SO2.
