This is Julie's only négoce wine, with organic grapes purchased from her friend Sylvain Chanudet. (different to 2020 Minouche). 50-60 year old vines grown on pink granite, on a very steep slope. The grapes are cooled for 24 hours and then undergo three weeks of carbonic maceration. Zero additions. The wine was then raised in a mix of tank and used barrels for 10 months, before being blended. Not fined or filtered, and no added SO2 at any stage.
Cleanest nose of them all so far – an array of red roses, delightful to smell! Fragrant and elegant. Raspberries, cocoa dust and hints of wild herbs. Fine and linear, with clear sweet fruit. Lovely fine tension. Clean, with beautiful palate weight. This is a very cool wine, the best Minouche yet!
