For the 200th birthday of Karl Marx, the VDP winery Maximin Grünhaus in Mertesdorf, near Trier, has crafted a wine from the historic vineyards once owned by the Marx family. This Riesling, named "Das Kapital" after the famed work of Marx, hails from the Herrenberg vineyard and has been bottled in a limited edition of 1,300.
