“95 Points. Cranberries, macerated roses, and morello cherries—this is an ethereal and sanguine wine at the same time. Orange rind, powdery, coating tannins, a palate that is compact and precise, a hint of alcohol at the back, but overall, it is well balanced. This Nebbiolo is elevated in a mix of stainless steel and Slavonian oak. There is a finesse and length that persist and keeps on giving. It is made from declassified Ghemme fruit from old vines. Platinetti Guido indeed makes excellent wines at every level.”
