Located in the east-facing parcel of the lieu-dit Saint Ennemond, Alex Foillard's Beaujolais-Villages is made from 70-year-old vines grown in limestone and sand soils. The fermentation process takes place in a concrete tank for 10 days with one pumpover every two or three days. The wine is aged in concrete tanks for 4 to 5 months.
Always a delight, this wine is also always dangerously drinkable! It is incredibly fresh as you would imagine - pure crisp and snappy red fruit aromas leap from the glass. An irresistible perfume. The palate is also light, crisp and snappy - fresh and silky smooth with light, fine tannins, balanced acidity and a long finish. Truly all you could ever want from a Beaujolais Villages, with the Foillard elan!
