Domaine Collotte Marsannay Blanc 2023 750ml

Marsannay Blanc

Chardonnay 2023

Only 2 left

Comes from 20-40+ year vines in 3 different terroirs of Les Etalles, En Blungey and Le Poiset and is raised 80% in oak barrels (10% new) and 20% in stainless steel. It has ripe and citrusy aromas with hints of peach skin and dried apricot. The palate has surprising richness and generosity opening with touches of dried mango and pear skin, fine acidity with long fresh finish.

“Bottled in July 2024. That’s got both volume and a nicely cushioned texture. Hmm, that melts nicely over the palate – many Marsannay white I find a little rich but this is on the good side of generous and drinks really well – not a bit heavy – weighty but not heavy.” Bill Nanson, Burgundy Report, January 2025

The 2023 Marsannay Blanc from Philippe and Isabelle Collotte is made from chardonnay vines that are between thirty-five and forty-five years of age and is raised in ten percent new oak, with the rest of the cuvée’s élevage done in stainless steel. The wine is bright and complex on the nose, wafting from the glass in a mix of nectarine, green apple, hazelnut, a lovely base of salty soil tones and just a touch of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied and succulent at the core, with a fine foundation of soil, zesty acids and fine focus and grip on the long, complex and very well balanced finish. This is one of the best examples of Marsannay Blanc I have tasted in quite some time! 2025-2035. 90 points, John Gilman, View from the Cellar, November-December 2025
