This Arbois Blanc "Chateau Renard" is round, rich with a vivacious freshness.

The Jura region is one of France's smallest wine regions comprising just 2,500 hectares. Despite its size however, it has grown a steadfast reputation for the sheer quality of its wines. Fabrice Dodane, owner of Domaine de Saint Pierre is part of a small group of discerning producers, which includes Jean-Francois Ganevat, who push the boundaries, making stunning, profound and complex wines. The "Chateau Renard" cuvée is from vineyards located on grey marl with tiny limestone rock soil located in Vadant in Arbois.

The bouquet opens up on ripe stone fruit with buttery and almond flavours and a sense of richness nicely balanced out by citrus notes. On the palate, the wine is vibrant, with lovely aromas of white peach, apricot and citrus all the way to the finish. It's complex and long. It can be drunk with charcuterie, poultry cooked in stock, young Comté cheese, fish, prawns and seafood. 100% Chardonnay. Dry style. Please decant for 15 minutes and serve in big Chardonnay glasses.
