Jacquère from Bugey, in the commune of Leyzieu. The plot is called Tomacette, and is made up of clay-limestone terroir. The grapes are crushed then pressed in a vertical ratchet press, 9 months of aging in fiber glass vats. TAKE LER to say "take the air" in children's handwriting.
Apples, nectarines, mountain river stream. A bit more weight and flavour here than Jaja – excellent restraint thanks to the fresh acidity that comes in spades. Nectarine tart, richer on the nose. Almost tinned pineapple, but pulled back just before the dial hits tropical. Very tasty.
