This drinks with a fractured graphite, slatey character atop the fruit. Acidity washes through, free-flowing, uninhibited and giving the impression that it might never recede. Tomato leaf, red cherry, dried herbs, an imprint of game and tongue-twisting, sinewy tannins that yell for a bowl of ragù with bread as a mop. An utterly delicious and important wine.
