Blu Onice
Varietal: Aglianico
Region: Campania
Country: Italy
Format: 750ml
ABV: 15%
This wine is called Blu Onice because the vineyard is located on a rocky ground next to an old onyx cave near Gesualdo. The stones that are extracted from this cave are yellow with particular blue streaks that inspired this name.
Cold pre-maceration. Maceration with replacement for about 20 days. Fermentation with starter yeasts, malolactic fermentation. Fining in French oak barrels. Brilliant red colour with spicy taste typical of Maiatica cherry of Taurasi.
