The 2018 Roagna Pira Barolo DOCG is a traditional expression of Nebbiolo from the historic Pira vineyard in Castiglione Falletto, Piedmont. Crafted by Luca Roagna using old-school methods, it reflects the unique terroir of the region. Vines are 25 to 50 years old, and fermentation uses indigenous yeast with a submerged cap maceration of 60–75 days. The wine is aged in large neutral oak barrels for about five years.
